Partial Quotients Budget and Buffet Method
During 4th Grade Math Semester One, I was introduced to Partial Quotients. There is no standard method to follow for Partial Quotients. Guessing a multiple of the divisor large enough to subtract from the dividend and repeat it until the remainder is less than the divisor is harder. So, the larger the divisor the harder it gets.
I searched for alternate ways, but none was helpful. After a few hours, got the inspiration from currencies to use multiples of 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50, and 100.
I tested it out for many division problems, and it works 100% of the time. It is easy and removes guessing. I named it the Budget and Buffet method. I used this method in my homework and was able to solve division problems successfully and found it to be useful. So, I made this video and shared it with my classmates, and got good feedback.
